Gas on BNB Chain vs Robinhood Chain: What Volume Bots Really Pay
Understand gas on BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain: what it is paid in, why bump bundles cost more than on Solana and how to budget a volume or bump session.

Every transaction on an EVM chain pays gas, a small fee to the network. When a bot places hundreds or thousands of trades, gas becomes a real part of the budget. Here is how it works on BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain, and what it means for planning a session.
What gas is
Gas is the price of getting a transaction processed. The amount depends on how much work the transaction does and on how busy the network is. You pay it in the chain's native coin:
- BNB Chain: BNB
- Robinhood Chain: ETH
That is why each chain has its own master wallet in Mentat Booster, funded in its own coin. See master wallets and maker wallets explained.
What a swap costs
A swap costs more than a plain transfer because it touches a pool or a curve. On top of gas, you may also pay:
- A pool fee to liquidity providers (the pool's fee tier).
- Any tax built into the token, such as a creator tax on Pons.
- Price impact, which is higher when the pool is shallow.
Crypto trading fees explained breaks these down. Each is a separate cost, and gas is the only one that is paid even when a trade is tiny.
Why bumps cost more here
On Solana, three wallets can sign one transaction, so a bump is one transaction. On EVM chains each wallet must send its own, so a bump is three transactions sent back-to-back, and each pays gas. See bump bot on BNB Chain. That is why a small bundle can run out of fuel sooner on an EVM chain than on Solana at the same speed.
Budgeting a session
Three levers control how fast fuel is used:
- Speed. Faster trading means more transactions per minute.
- Number of wallets or bundles. More wallets, more transactions.
- Duration. A longer session pays gas for longer.
A sensible approach:
- Start with a smaller session and read the review screen.
- Check Status partway through.
- Raise the amount rather than the speed if you want it to last.
The bot warns you when a session may run short, and if funds are left in the wallets, the end-of-session sweep returns them to your master wallet.
Keep it cheap
- Trade a pool with decent depth, so price impact stays small.
- Avoid tokens with high taxes.
- Do not run faster than the chart needs.
Chain notes
- BNB Chain: see the BNB Chain volume bot guide.
- Robinhood Chain: see the volume and bump bot guide.
Both bots show the cost before you launch, so you can compare chains with real numbers instead of guesses.
Frequently asked questions
What coin pays gas on each chain?
BNB on BNB Chain, ETH on Robinhood Chain.
Why does my session cost more on an EVM chain than on Solana?
Each trade pays gas, and an EVM bump is three separate transactions. Solana can do a bump in one transaction.
Where can I see the cost before I start?
The review screen in Mentat Booster shows the cost of the session before you launch.
