Volume Bot vs Bump Bot: Which One Does Your Token Need?

Volume bots build 24-hour volume with bigger trades. Bump bots keep a new token visible with tiny, constant trades. Learn the difference and when to use each.

People often ask whether they need a volume bot or a bump bot. They sound alike, but they do different jobs. Choosing the wrong one wastes money, so here is how to pick.

The one-line difference

  • A volume bot makes your numbers bigger: more trades, bigger trades, a higher 24-hour volume.
  • A bump bot keeps your token visible: tiny trades, every few seconds, so the chart is always moving.

How a bump bot works

A bump is one small buy-and-sell cycle. In Mentat Booster, a bundle is three wallets: two buy and one sells, and the bot lands the trades back to back. Each bundle runs on its own loop, and more bundles mean more bumps per interval.

Because the tokens and funds just move between the bundle's wallets, very little leaves the system except fees. That is why a bump bot is cheap to keep running for a long time. It cannot build big volume, and it is not meant to.

How a volume bot works

A volume bot funds many maker wallets and has them trade at a pace and size you pick. The goal is a high 24-hour total, which is the number screeners rank on. It costs more because more money is trading, and so more fees are paid. Read what a volume bot is for the full picture.

Which stage is your token in?

Just launched on pump.fun, still on the bonding curve. Start with a bump bot. The goal here is to stay in view while the curve fills. Big volume is not the priority. See how pump.fun works and why new tokens die.

On a DEX pool (PumpSwap, Raydium, PancakeSwap and others). A volume bot makes more sense. You can use it to build your 24-hour volume for trending lists.

Quiet for days. Try a short volume session to wake the chart up, and put real effort into promotion at the same time.

A simple plan

  1. First hours: a bump bot to stay visible.
  2. Day one onward: a volume session when you are ready to promote.
  3. When a session ends: pick your exit with care. See how to exit a token without crashing the chart.

Both tools are in Mentat Booster on Solana, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a volume bot and a bump bot together?

Yes, and many creators do. A bump bot suits the first hours of a launch, and a volume bot suits the days after, when you want bigger 24-hour numbers.

Which one costs less?

A bump bot usually costs less per hour, because its trades are tiny and the same funds keep recycling between wallets.

Which one is better on pump.fun?

While a token is still on the pump.fun bonding curve, a bump bot is usually the better fit. After it moves to a DEX pool, a volume bot becomes useful.
