Uniswap V3 on Robinhood Chain: Pools, Fee Tiers and Ranges

How Uniswap V3 pools work on Robinhood Chain: fee tiers, price ranges, why thin pools swing and how to set up and trade one for a new token.

Uniswap V3 is the standard pool style on Robinhood Chain for tokens that are not on the Pons curve. If you create a token outside a launchpad, or want to understand what happens after graduation, you need to know how these pools behave.

Pools, ranges and fee tiers

A V3 pool holds two assets, usually your token and ETH. Two settings define it:

  • Fee tier. Each trade pays a fee to liquidity providers. Several tiers exist, from very low to high. Stable pairs use low tiers, risky and new pairs use higher ones.
  • Price range. A provider places liquidity only between two prices. Inside the range it acts like far deeper liquidity than the same money would in an old-style V2 pool. Outside the range it does nothing.

The same token can have several pools at different fee tiers. Traders are routed to whichever gives the best price, so the deepest one usually wins.

Why range matters for a new token

If you add liquidity in a narrow range around the starting price and the price moves out of it, your liquidity stops supporting the market and the chart gets jumpy. Many new tokens do better with a wide range, accepting less efficiency in return for steadier prices. If you manage a position, check its range after launch, not only on day one. For a comparison with the V2 style, see how PancakeSwap works for token launches, which covers both versions.

What buyers experience

  • A thin pool shows a large price impact on even small buys.
  • Price swings are bigger on a young chain with fewer traders.
  • Careful buyers run a safety check first. See Robinhood Chain token safety checks.

Trading a V3 pool with a bot

A volume or bump bot makes ordinary swaps against the pool from several wallets. In Mentat Booster you fund one ETH master wallet, the bot pays gas and the pool fee on each swap, and everything is swept back to the master wallet at the end. A shallow pool means each trade moves the price, so smaller trade sizes give a cleaner chart. The full steps are in the Robinhood Chain volume and bump bot guide.

Pons or Uniswap V3?

  • Pons: fast, no liquidity to set up, trading starts on a curve. See how the Pons launchpad works.
  • Uniswap V3: you control the liquidity, the range and the tier, and the pool is conventional from the first trade.

Pick based on how much control you want and how much liquidity you can commit. The Robinhood Chain launch checklist walks through both routes.

Getting seen

Screeners list V3 pools like any other pair. Once your pair meets the minimums, a trending placement can bring in traders, and steady activity keeps them looking.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Uniswap V3 pool if I launched on Pons?

Not at first. A Pons token trades on its bonding curve. A regular pool matters once the token graduates or if you launch outside Pons.

Which fee tier should I pick?

Lower tiers suit calm, stable pairs. Volatile new tokens usually use a higher tier, because liquidity providers want more reward for the extra risk.

Can Mentat Booster trade Uniswap V3 tokens on Robinhood Chain?

Yes. The Volume Booster and Bump Booster both trade Uniswap V3 pools there, funded in ETH.
